There are many Aurimas, but only one Helena.

In a desperate attempt to bolster his recruit ranks, King Varic of the Kingdom of Delia expedites the graduation of all students at the Brookstead Military Academy, severing a pact that has stood for a thousand years. With the course of their future undemocratically derailed, these four “graduates” of the Brookstead Academy set out to leave their mark on this world. This is their story.

  1. I definitely think the story is the most lacking part of the game. It could really do with more maps that help connect the current chapters together. It moves way too fast through story events, haha. Still enjoyable though.

  2. Everyone complaining about the desertion thing confuses me. I mean, everyone knows the princesses who rescued them, they offered to spare them if they agreed to help them kill a dude who they think is a major problem. As they address, nobody else has been able to harness enough power to summon the undead in such a large number.

Also, you know, they all seem to worship a goddess of pacts. They agreed to serve in exchange for their lives. Notice how much of an issue being an oathbreaker is to the people in Delia. This aspect makes sense more after later chapters and I really do wish that they had done more to stress the importance of oaths in their culture before chapter 17 or so.

  3. There needed to be way more set up to justify deserting the army! The tagalongs that you recruited after setting out being willing to desert is fine, but everyone from the original army should have some loyalty. Lincoln especially seems like he’d be revolted by the idea, having him decide to go along with it just isn’t believable. Had they witnessed the king or someone in his inner circle doing something heinous than you could justify it but at this rate they failed one mission and decided to go on a treasure hunt with some foreigners. Absolute madness.

  4. Every time a unit dies they have some sort of debuff applied permanently, I can imagine there is a chance that each time they die they lose a finger, so there are odds that a character can lose 11 fingers XD where the extra finger came from no one knows XD
