I wasn’t expecting DLC. We cannot abandon our lord and savior Benji just yet
Man the maps look SO much better
So I decided to start a randomized run, and instead of the starting 4 of Irving, Maren, Alden, and Garrick I got: Bianca, Thae'lanel, Aurima…and Benji.
I made the mistake of making Thae'Lanel a surge in my rando run (His strength growths are nuts even with the magic class).
And he was STILL decently good.
The gems are a rating for how well you did the scenario I think?

You didn't get your hp increased by 2, and since whether or not it does increase by 1 or 2 effects the level up quotes, it must also affect the achievement.
1:11:05 This is, again, tied to the fact that you can get a +2 in hp.
so not counting the initial +1 in HP, You need a maximum of 3 stat ups for the bad quote, and a minimum of 7.
Basically, only three stats go up? bad level up, all but three stats go up? good level up.
I kind of liked the more generic fantasy bend this game has, fire emblem but with elves and dwarves is pretty much my jam, but one of the dlc maps just being an unironic orc hoarde battle is throwing me for a loop. And like, that dialogue is really leaning into it too, talking about wiping them out completely as being not a bad idea because they're like, people, but because we just don't have enough guys, or most of them not being smart enough to use magic apparently…i guess its all just really par for the course whenever any sort of media delves into generic fantasy, but all of this feels sooo out of left field compared to everything else ive seen, idk
