I try foods, software, tools, music, books, video games, exercises, TV shows, dance moves, etc.
This time I tried “Dark Deity”, a turn-based strategy game with anime-style visuals and characters, VERY reminiscent of a certain franchise that rhymes with “Dire Enphlegm”. It was very dialogue-heavy right off the bat, seeming more like a visual novel than a game. And then once the gameplay actually started, the only way to figure how to actually, you know, PLAY the game was to go through three menu levels to access tutorial messages. Not ideal.
As I stated after quitting the game, I think it tries to get by on its “attractive anime-style characters” and similarity to “Fire Emblem”.
